wild fish fed to livestock

A post on the Organic Consumers' Association web-site, dated June 2008, claims that 14 million tons of wild-caught fish (including anchovies, sardines, mackerel and herring) are fed every year to factory-farmed pigs and chickens around the world. That is 17 per cent of all the wild fish caught.
