'40 years to save our oceans'

Oceans make up 71 per cent of the earth's surface, but our destructive commercial over-fishing has put the oceans and marine populations at serious risk. A report published in the journal 'Science' in 2006 predicts that all of the world's fisheries could collapse by 2048. This report can be read online at

Oceana (Protecting the World's Oceans) says that we need to stop our destructive practices now, ie over-fishing, habitat destruction and the waste of 'accidental' catch.
Vegans say no exploitation and no destruction!
