On 24th August some of the NESX vegans met up with other hardy Essex
vegans, from places like Chelmsford and Benfleet, for a picnic. We met in
Admirals Park in Chelmsford and, after some initial drizzle which failed to
deter us, the day warmed up and became as sunny as we were! We shared vegan
food, including some delicious raw food, and also played with the
children's beach toys... (How many vegans does it take to get a cheap
plastic kite off the ground?) The chocolate ice cream bought by Leigh and
Duncan was much appreciated!
