McDonald's eat rainforests

It was reported in 'The Times' on 6th August that, because of the 'credit crunch' in the UK, the massive McDonald's burger chain, which sells low-cost fast foods, is thriving and is to employ more staff.
McDonald's is involved in the deforestation of the Amazon rainforests; 80% of the world’s soya production is used as feed in the livestock industry, and much of it is grown on land cleared of rainforest. Greenpeace produced a report in 2006 on rainforest destruction - to read this, go to
