fuel protests in Europe
At the end of May, European farmers and fishermen protested against high fuel and feed prices and low prices for their products in Germany, Holland, Belgium and Spain. Fishermen went on strike or even set up blockades, and farmers and fishermen staged various demo.s around Europe - for example, many gallons of milk were sprayed on fields, fed to cows or poured down drains, and tons of fresh fish were given away in the street. In the UK, lorry drivers protested.
