letter of the week in the 'Radio Times'

In the 'Radio Times' (15-21 March 2008), the prize-winning letter of the week was from Marion Garner of Loughborough. In the letter she refers to the 'Today' programme on Radio 4 on 4th March, about the future global food crisis and how we will all have to eat less meat, or food systems will collapse and there will be food wars. Then she asks why there aren't more cookery programmes for vegetarian and vegan food, as so many people now are vegetarian/vegan or eat less meat for health reasons, and in the current global food situation.
Unfortunately no response to the letter was published.
Many thanks to Ms Garner for writing to the BBC, and well done for getting the letter published in the 'Radio Times'. We've been saying the same thing for years - more vegetarian and vegan programming on the BBC, please!
Why don't you email the BBC and ask for more vegetarian and vegan programming, as well?!
