* 'something and chips' evening - 3rd September
On 3rd September, we will be having a 'something and
chips' evening, as 2008 is the International Year of the Potato
and chips are a traditional Essex food...
If you are vegan
or vegetarian, what do you eat with your chips? Bring it along
and share it with us - we'll provide the chips!
(It would be
helpful if you could let us know in advance if you are coming
along, so we can have enough chips and enough something
ready!)

* picnic in Chelmsford - 24th August
Come and join us for a picnic in the park (Admirals
Park) in Chelmsford on Sunday 24th August.
Hopefully the picnic will be shared by people from
the NESX vegans, Southend Animal Aid and
Chelmsford Animal Aid, and anyone else who wishes
to join in.
All welcome, but all food must be
vegan or vegetarian. Please bring food to share.
There is a car-park and park entrance on Rainsford Road; if you are driving
to the picnic, you could try parking there and we could all meet up at that
park entrance at 12 noon. (There are other car-parks in the town centre.)
Admirals Park is not far from the bus station and the railway station,
so if you are coming by bus or train, hopefully you could also get to the
Rainsford Road park entrance for 12 noon.
