We are getting together to celebrate Chinese New Year with food, and to talk a little about Chinese cooking for vegans.

We had a very enjoyable Chinese takeaway meal, followed by
the traditional drinking of tea, and with home-made vegan
fortune cookies.
The takeaway meal was from Chef Canton in Crouch Street,
Colchester, and we made a selection from the dishes on
their menu which are suitable for vegans, including bean
curd in chilli bean sauce, satay mixed vegetables, mushrooms
and bean sprouts, and plain rice.
Thanks to Chef Canton for their helpfulness, and to Sophie
for making the special vegan fortune cookies.
