midsummer day picnic
A midsummer picnic – please bring vegan food to share, something waterproof to sit on, and an umbrella! We will meet at 12.30 at the park gates in Castle Road, near the Greyfriars Community College car park.
We would like to invite anyone vegan to come and join in – vegetarians also welcome!
We sat under a tree near the bandstand, at the top of the slope. The park was full of people out enjoying themselves. It was a brilliant, hot day and we had a good time! We ate black olives, cous-cous with peas, cous-cous with broad beans, roasted red peppers, falafel, vine cherry tomatoes, stuffed vine leaves, butter beans in sun-dried tomato sauce, French bread, houmous, tortill wraps, mixed red salad, melon and peaches, lambrusco, mineral water…
